Okay, you may be familiar with my tendancy to find something new and do a mini-obsess over it until I'm an expert on the basics, even if I never continue on to master the expert stuff. The latest one, as you have likely seen, is the litle adoptable dragon eggs. I've had a lot of success with them, and picked up a few tricks, so I figured it's fair to share the wealth. Also, I'm getting bored with them so I'm putting this out before I fgorget.

Meeper now has epic flying and an epic flying mount, and I just need a run through heroic Sethekk Halls to get epic flight form. After that, I'll be saving money and grinding CE rep for the war hippogriff, since Meeper considers her race to be "druid" rather than "tauren". But no rush, I'm having too much fun on Ryxl.

Aelwenara is lazing about in Orgrimmar, slowly gaining skill in tailoring and enchanting. I suppose I should leel her some, at least to 55 so I can get 300-375 on her professions.

Stomphoof has been stripped naked and is standing in Booty Bay waiting my her chance to ship some cheap runecloth (1 gold 25 silver a stack! Eleven stacks!) over to horde-side for Aelwenara. Since I didn't do much with her and Clay might want the name back at some point, I decided to strip her down.

Kivraealyn, the hunter formerly known as Tarrna, has gottn a complete makeover. New professions (although I may drop mining to take herbalism for her alchemy, which replaced engineering), new name, new skills (can you believe she had no traps?), new pet...new character. I may actually write a story explaining it. She went from a white worg to a red windserpent, but since Ryxl has Arikara, it's been done...so I grabbed a Scarlet Tracking Hound. When it hits her level, I'll abandon the windserpent.

So that's it for the alts...now on to my main.

Ryxl haz epix. On Sunday, I marathoned getting my Kara key fragments, running Old Hillsbrad, going through Black Morass (epiced-out tank and awesome mage on adds FTW! Medhiv was still at 100% at the end)....and then being invited to run Kara with the group the mage belongs to! Yes, I went to Kara,and it was Love The Hunter night! I got a hat, a pair of gloves, a pair of boots, and a ring because I was the only hunter. We had no rogues, no feral druids, and the only non-healy shaman was better-geared. We skipped Illhoof and Netherspite due to group makeup, but didn't have a wipe until we got to Prince, and his infernals spanked us thoroughly. So we went back tonight and pwned his face, then went and killed Netherspite. God, that fight is fun. Prince dropped his awesome bow, and I rolled 87......but the other hunter there rolled 99. So no bow for me, but it's okay. *grins* I'll be back. Ryxl has also gotten revered with Ogri-La and the Sha'tari Skyguard, and is a decent chunk of friendly with the Netherwing. I have so many daily quests available now I can afford to pick and choose them. And you better believe I'm going for that dragon! Ryxl's always been about proving her personal power by going against the best of the best, and about helping those who have no one else. Netherwing sorta combines those into one tasty package of win.

Right as I was going to bed, I saw that it was three minutes before 1am. So I put my glasses back on and refreshed the eggs until this one popped up...which was on my short list of 'eggs I'd like to snatch eventually'. So I snatched it. I think it's going to be a two-headed dragon, but I may be wrong. In any case, I'd only seen it once before. Midnight has a lot of rare-ish eggs, tho...saw two silvers, some mint, and a chicken. Anyway...

If it's a two-headed dragon, I'll name him (them?) Shen Ka.

Should hatch sometime today into a paper dragon. Now if I could figure out what to name it...

My first adult! I named him Zariel.

If I've done my research right, this is a silver dragon...the only breed that can be either male or female. I sure hope it's female...they're easily the most beautiful of the female dragons, in my opinion, and I do want to breed my dragons once they grow up.

Also, give this orange egg some love? It needs to be clicked on a few more times so it can hatch soon.

I have now surpassed both of my roommates and gotten not only my second 70, but the first epic flier in the household. I had to rob Meeper blind to pay for it, but it's -so- worth it.

...it took me many hours of grinding over the last three days - two of which were my days off of work - and killing so many blue dragonkin that I thought Malygos himself would come and hunt me down...but I finally got an Azure Whelpling to drop! I also made 400+ gold on the leather, scales, and greens that dropped, but that's beside the point. I got a pretty blue pet that costs a thousand gold! ^_^ And I promptly sent it off to my little frost mage, because (aside from it fitting the character) nothing says "I have a main, envy me" like having a thousand-gold pet at level 25.

First, logged on with Ryxl and ran a level 52 shaman guildie through Sunken Temple. No deaths, not even the Egg of Hakkar event, which was like...omg, we survived. ^^; That fight was so long I had time to pop two mana potions. We cleared the temple bottom to top, killed everything there and hit every boss. Thick leather sold for 4g a stack, within 2 hours of me putting it up. Four stacks. Yeah, that was sweet.

Then I decided to see if a level 70 feral druid could solo Warmaster Voone and Highlord Omokk because, well, I already had the gem of Bloodaxe and the Unadorned Seal of Ascension. Despite the fact that Omokk comes with a healer and a caster, Voone was the tougher fight. I still ate their faces, though. Tonight, I get to go tangle with Emberstrife. Yay!

...I found my microphone.

...if you are being run through an instance, remember that you are soft and squishy, and that the mobs are going to think you are yummy and try to eat you.

The most amusing occurance of that last night was my poor little level 17 (although she dinged 18 nt 3 minutes later) mage backing away from a Lupine Horror in Shadowfang Keep...and the Lupine Horrors on the platform behind her, the wall of which she had backed up against, smelling her and running up the stairs, across the loft, and down the stairs again to get at her. I had to watch them run back (after having killed me) to figure out where they'd come from.

The...well, it was amusing to me, but I'd feigned death..less amusing occurance was Ryxl running Dalvez and Oninoshi through SM Cath because whatever it was that TPO Oninoshi was smoking or drinking, it musta been good to make him think that Doan dropped Whitemane's Chapeau, and that the level 44 shaman Dalvez could solo SM Library. Realizing that I wouldn't get my SFK run until they were done, I hopped on Ryxl and tore the place apart for them....then did the same for Cath when I realized what the level 36 warlock wanted. I'll point out that TPO Oninoshi has, in fact, been to SM and does have a character in Outland and in fact has had several lowbie characters of just about every class...which should have been more than enough to teach him a little thing called AGRO RADIUS.

He agroed Morgaine.

The entire right wing of the cathedral, and part of the left (which I was clearing) decided he was tasty. The shaman booked it for the portal. I just kept killing.

Morgaine reset.

Warlock stands back up (soulstone.)

Morgaine gets agroed AGAIN by the warlock. Warlock goes down, shaman runs for it. I keep killing. I get the trash out of the way and say scrw it and kill Morgaine. Whitmane comes out...but the raptor and I are down at the front of the cathedral, the shaman is nowhere in sight, and the warlock's dead. She just sorta...stands there, lost and forlorn, until I finish with the trash that ran back from chasing the shaman and decide to attack her. I kill her and Morgaine while the shaman's running back and the warlock's dead, and then check the drops. Sure enough, the Chapeau dropped. Warlock was damn lucky, cuz after that performance he didn't really deserve it. Shaman threatened to take it...he was sorta ticked, I'm guessing, and I don't blame him...but I really didn't care cuz it meant we were done and I got my SFK run.

I think I'll run him through someplace as a thank you. Like maybe ZF. And Jintha'Alor. Get his shammy some tasty XPs since he pretty much leveled my mage for me three times.

First, new icon! I like it. It's from a while back when the server froze for three minutes JUST as I was about to kill the freaking wandering giant in Desolace and take his tumor. So I took screenshots while Ryxl was frozen with her bow drawn.

Poor Meeper is still on hold for a while. I used her to tank the Horseman a few times, and helped Malcho with the balance fight for his epic flight form quest line (two feral druids trying to do a root-and-nuke and remembering to abolish the mana-sucking poison. Not fun.), but I haven't wanted to play her yet and with NaNoWriMo starting in TWO DAYS, she'll be sitting on the sidelines for a while yet.

Ryxl is 65! I really should settle down and push her to 70. Terrokar is next on the list for 'zones to be summarily demolished, quest-wise'. I also need to sit down with Petopia and see what Outland critters can be tamed for Bite and whatnot. Dash is the most awesome skill for any land pet to have - I hit attack and Hunter's Mark, and by the time the global cooldown is done, Takk's already got agro. I love it. And the other night, I was riding from Garadar towards Nesingwary's camp, when all of a sudden a flood of warriors in Scout's tabards on worgs come flying towards me...so I turn around and ride with them. And sure enough, following them is Thrall. So Ryxl and Takk and the person who had triggered the quest got to be Thrall's honor guard for the whole event. Ryxl, of course, is deeply touched. She also has twelve freaking costume wands, seven or eight of which are random.

New character: Aelwenara! Bloodelf mage, going to be frost-spec because survivability, CC, and agro control are niiiiice things. Speaking from having healed for a frost-mage and tanked for a fire mage, I want ice block and I hate the uncontrollable agro generation of fire. So far, she's just running around Eversong questing and killing dragonhawks for their Small Eggs. Come Winter Veil, I plan to sell cookies for cash.
